What can I bring?

Visitors to Keesler Air Force Base ARE welcome to bring

  • Strollers and wagons
  • Small purses and diaper bags
  • Cameras,
  • Phones
  • Folding chairs

Prohibited items include:

  • Weapons of any kind (including small knives)
  • Glass
  • Pop up tents or umbrellas
  • Skateboards, scooters or hoverboards
  • Drones
  • Alcohol

Be aware that all items can be subject to search by gate security. See a full list of allowable and prohibited items here.

 

Will there be concessions/vendors available?

Yes, more information to follow but there will be food and beverages as well as souvenirs available for purchase from vendors.

Will there be an ATM?

Yes, visitors to Keesler will be able to use ATMs around the flightline.

What are you doing for our safety?

Safety of our guests and performers is paramount. All visitors to Keesler Air Force Base will be required to pass through a screening area and are prohibited from bringing certain items on base. Please see our prohibited items for a comprehensive list. Additionally, military medical and security personnel will be present on the flightline.

Parents can pick up a yellow wrist-band for their children at one of the flightline entry contol points. Please use these wrist-bands to write your name and number in case you become separated from your child; it will allow emergency responders to quickly contact you.

Stay tuned to your local radio stations, the website and the airshow Facebook page for traffic and other airshow alerts. Is the Air Show free?

Yes!

Where will parking be located?

There will be five off-base parking locations around Biloxi for visitors. A shuttle system will be provided to get attendees from their respective parking areas to the flightline entrance on base for the morning portion of the air show, the beach near the intersection of White Avenue and U.S. 90 for the afternoon portion and then back to the respective parking areas. Each parking location will have its own bus color route. Be sure to remember the color route for your parking area. Will there be handicap parking available?

Yes, handicap drivers will have access to any of the five designated airshow parking locations located around Biloxi, as well as handicap parking on Keesler Air Force Base.

What time does it start and end?

Keesler Air Force base will open at 7:30 a.m. both days. Performances are expected to start at approximately 8:30 a.m. and  the final performance is expected to complete by 5 p.m. each day. Because there may be delays due to weather, mechanical issues or any other unforeseen issues, the performers do not have a specified start time. The end time is an estimate.

Should I bring hearing protection?

Glad you asked! Our aircraft can be quite loud. Hearing protection can be a good idea for little ears.

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking on the Keesler flightline is not permitted except in the designated smoking areas. These areas will be clearly marked for our guests.

Will there be other attractions besides just the air show?

We have a full line up of static displays, ground performances, a dedicated kid’s zone with bounce houses and obstacle course, food trucks, and interactive STEM exhibits.

Where can I find the schedule for the air show?

For an updated list of our air and ground performers and static displays, please see our Event Schedule section. Performances are subject to change based on maintenance issues, weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.

Will there be any sort of shade?

There will be some shaded areas but a majority of the events and activities will be open air. We recommend visitors wear hats, bring sunscreen and drink water to stay cool. Keesler Air Force Base will have water stations for our guests. Visitors to the beach are welcome to bring umbrellas and beach equipment.

What happens if it rains?

Inclement or extreme weather may affect some performances.

How do I become a vendor?

For Keesler Air Force Base vendor information, please contact 228-376-8158.

Applications to be a permitted vendor both days in the event area on the beachfront will be limited. No other types of vendors will be allowed.

Vendors will be selected based on the relative best value of their application.  Applications are available at mainstreetbiloxi.com.  Deadline for applications is Jan. 28, 2019 at 5 p.m.  Applications will be reviewed at that time and vendors will be notified if they are selected to participate.
